In Australia, HDPE Poly Pipe sizes are measured by the outside diameter of the pipe in millimeters. There are a huge range of HDPE Pipe sizes, from 16mm outside diameter, right up to 2000mm outside diameter. Readily available diameters range from 20mm to 800mm outside diameter.
You will likely find the following simple HDPE Pipe Sizes Chart very useful, it gives ordering codes, outside and inside dimensions in millimeters for this diameter range. It also splits sizing up into 6m lengths and 12m lengths.

WHAT STANDARD IS POLY PIPE MADE TO IN AUSTRALIA?

Poly (HDPE) pipe lengths vary according to size, however, generally sizes up to 110mm are available in 6 metre straight lengths or 50m, 100m or 150m pipe coils. Sizes 125mm and above are generally available in 12 metre lengths, which offers huge cost savings by reducing numbers of onsite joins. When quantities are sufficient for a special manufacturing run, lengths for diameters 110mm and up can be extended from 12 metres, up to 20 metre lengths and anywhere in between.
