Berlin’s Madame Tussauds has dumped its Donald Trump wax figure in the trash to send a message to US voters ahead of election day on November 3. According to Reuters, the museum loaded its Trump replica into a dumpster on Friday, October 30, and wheeled it out of its galleries.

Trump’s effigy was placed into a dumpster that carries the slogan “Dump Trump Make America Great Again.” The figure was surrounded by garbage bags and images of Trump-style tweets reading “Fake News!”; “I love Berlin”; and “You are fired!”

“Today’s activity is rather of a symbolic character ahead of the elections in the United States,” Orkide Yalcindag, the museum’s marketing manager, told Reuters. “We here at Madame Tussauds Berlin removed Donald Trump’s waxwork as a preparatory measure.”

The museum’s wax figures of former US presidents like Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan remain on display.

This is the second time in recent months that Tussauds uses Trump’s figure to make a statement. In August, the museum’s New York location placed a face mask on its Trump wax to encourage visitors to abide by the state’s COVID-19 safety measures.

Will Americans dump Trump on November 3? The latest polls predict a victory for Joe Biden, but we won’t know until we know.
