Bridgestone to Reorganize Manufacturing Bases in China for Polyurethane Foam Products
Tokyo (November 1, 2013) - Bridgestone Corporation announced today that the Bridgestone Group will reorganize its manufacturing operations in the Huanan region of China in order to establish a more efficient manufacturing system for the production of the Group's polyurethane foam products.
The Buji Plant of Bridgestone Ever Light Hong Kong Co., Ltd. (ELHK), which manufactures polyurethane foam products in the Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, will discontinue production in the first half of 2014. Moving forward, production of polyurethane foam products in the Huanan region of China will take place at the Group's Bridgestone (Kaiping) Diversified Products Co., Ltd. (BSKD) manufacturing facility in Kaiping, Guangdong Province.
