An electric fence is a barrier that uses electric shocks to deter animals from crossing a boundary. The voltage of the shocking have effects ranging from discomfort to death.

An animal fence energizer converts mains or battery power into a high voltage pulse. The energizer releases this pulse on to an insulated fence line about once every second. The pulse itself is only around 150 microseconds long. This pulse is commonly referred to as the ‘shock’ and is felt by any animal or human which touches an electric fence. When human makes contact with the fence the circuit is complete. It is at this point the human receive a shock.

#3: It places a 24 hour monitor on the perimeter. If wired correctly the electric fence will go to an alarm when the ware is cut or shorted.
The electric fence will have served its purpose as an early warning device should the above occur. Unlike most house burglar alarms it will inform you at the property boundary.
#4: Although house alarms are of importance the advantage of correctly installed electric fence is that, either the person does not try to enter the premises or should the alarm be sounded the person is not already in the house or building and therefore time is on your side.
It is clearly a more attractive proposition around your home than a physical fence and does not require maintenance or repairs like a physical fence might.
#5: The cost of an electric fence will be much cheaper than the alternative such as wood, rail, vinyl, woven wire or barbed wire.
It is also much easier to install as compared to traditional fencing methods and barbed wire fences. The components are light weight and easy to carry. Also minimal planning is required, making the installation much faster. With barbed wire fencing, a lot more time is required to dig holes for the support poles and to transport the heavy components.
