Wishing Traps Away: Be Careful What You Wish For

In the last two daily runs, I've decided to spend my wish and my coin on wishing traps away for the entire city. It helps survival a lot, but wow, the game becomes incredibly boring. All the emergent interaction is gone. There aren't enough natural environmental hazards to push, whip, and drag enemies into. You just run around without much to worry about and not much to interact with. It's not even that expensive for what you get. At least with the heart wish you have to keep paying through the nose.

I really think the ability to wish traps away should either be removed entirely, restricted to a single level and made way more expensive (no-traps for a level costs around the same as hiring a champion, but the champion will kill himself within 60 seconds by stepping on a trap). It's not only overpowered, but it's incredibly boring.

70% of the game is avoiding traps, and using them to your advantage. If any first time player were to spend their coin wishing traps away, they would actually have no idea what CIty of Brass even is. The game changes completely, and for the worst. I recommend this whole idea of disabling traps be re-thought completely or stripped out.

Wishes should be a power trip, make you feel like a super hero, or a savior (desperately needing
3.5 hearts), or something like that. A wish should not be, "make the game boring and remove 70% of the interactive elements and half the reason to use the whip and 100% of the reason to shove."

If there were far more natual hazards, open spike pits, lava flows. Maybe if the enemies triggered traps but you didn't. Something needs to change. I know someone will tell me, "Well then just don't use the wish!" But I think think this wish changes the game design in such a fundamental way, it doesn't even work anymore. It's not fun. Yet the cost-benefit ratio is huge. No traps for the WHOLE CITY? Sounds worth it to me... If only it were fun.

How about reduced trap damage *for the player only* instead of disabling traps?
