When Should I Use Wrist Wraps? : powerlifting

On madcow right now and I hit my heavy triple for the week yesterday @ 210lbs. Afterwards, I felt a little strain and pain in my wrists, actually it's been the past two weeks.

My question is, do I need wrist wraps if my wrists continue to hurt?

Do wrist wraps help with bench numbers or just stability?

If I need to get wraps, should I only use them on my heaviest sets?

**EDIT: Thanks for all the tips and advice. I think it was a form issue as well as forearm/grip strength. I followed /u/Mdisbrow advice and pointed my knuckles up, which helped a lot (even activated more lats into my lift). I have no wrist pains when I hit my top set for 5.

Also, I've started forearm training/building doing farmer's walks.
