Muscle texture has a big impact on the appearance of the dinosaur. To create a realistic texture, our artist will use a large soldering iron to draw on the sponge. We don't know who first came up with this idea, but it does work well. The sponge melts when it hits the hot soldering iron. So making textures is like painting on sand.
Now the artists will replace the iron with a smaller one to make very detailed dinosaur skin.

A new material dinosaur suit in a different process
Making the dinosaur suit in the new material is another technique used from the skin detailing step. Instead of carving into the sponge, we use a 3D printer to create the skin details on the new material. The workers now simply glue the new skin onto the sponge. The advantages are that it is more realistic, more durable and lighter.
The final step is to not paint any of the materials what we use. Painting also directly affects the appearance of the dinosaur. Moreover, only an experienced artist can do this job perfectly. It takes years of practice to gain the ability to paint on a dinosaur costume.
It always takes a few days to complete the painting. And it takes a week for the paint to dry.
The dinosaur teeth installation will be completed at the same time. There are two types of dinosaur teeth available, one made of plastic, one made of silicone and one soft.
