TEMAD STATIC UNI is a synergic combination designed to avoid electrostatic charges accumulation, lowering surface resistivity without damages for the colour. There are two major types of antistatic additives: Antistatic for the process and Antistatic for the product.
Antistatic additives for the process have the purpose of reducing the accumulation of electrostatic charges during the production process. Antistatic additives for the product, on the other hand, have the function of reducing the attraction of dust from the final product due to electrostatic charges generated by rubbing, especially in the presence of dry weather. The active ingredient used is chosen according to the characteristics it must fulfill and differs by migration typology. Fast migration: the antistatic additive rises to the surface very quickly, but wears out quickly; average duration is equal to 1/2 months. Slow migration: the antistatic additive rises to the surface very slowly, but keeps up a medium to long term antistatic action; average duration is up to 6 months. The duration of antistatic additives, however, depends on how much the finished products that contain them have been handled: the more they are handled the more the antistatic effects are lost.

Laser marking is based on a chemical reaction able to modify the color of the material hit by the laser beam. This practice makes it possible to "trace" the product according to the needs, guaranteeing the consumer a safety measurement system in the purchase and the manufacturer a simple identification of any non-compliant production batches.
It also has a number of advantages compared to other coding systems. First and foremost the economic one, for the absence of consumables and maintenance that leads to considerable decrease in downtime, as well as the positive aspects deriving from full environmental compatibility and the possibility of being used on many substrates and materials.
There are many differences among the antimicrobials on the market. The main classification of them is between organic and inorganic antimicrobials. Among the organic ones, one the most popular is the triclosan (2,4,4’-Trichloro-2’-hydroxydiphenyl ether), while among the inorganic ones the most common are those silver-based as our TEMAD ANTIBACT. TEMAD ANTIOX has been studied to protect the resins from the thermo-oxidative action during the critical phases of the production processes. Its protective function is essential when the transformation needs require the use of particularly high temperatures. Antioxidant additives act also long-term, preserving the characteristics of the finished product. During the production process, heating polymers creates free radicals that modify the chemical structure of the resins by generating gels and changing the length of polymer chains, resulting in loss and/or deterioration of their mechanical characteristics (change of MFI, worsening of gloss) and of their aesthetic properties, including discoloration.
TEMAD PROC-SET function is to remove the moisture present in the material and at the same time facilitate the production process, eliminating the polymer pre-drying phase. It is particularly indicated in the thermoplastic film sector as it stabilizes the bubble and gives a pleasant surface appearance, as it prevents the formation of partridge or fish eyes.

The blowing agents are used in the field of injection molding, extrusion of flexible film, extrusion of monofilaments, etc., and are aimed at reducing the weight of the product. Expanding agents are divided into the categories provided: Exothermic and Endothermic.
The exothermic expanders generate heat and mainly nitrogen during the expansion phase.
The gases developed by the expanding agents diffuse inside the melted polymeric matrix forming some inside the material which accepts the lightening of the piece at the same volume. TEMAD ESPANSOR also improves the suction and filling phenomena of the mold. Sucking is a phenomenon that occurs during the molding phase due to the incomplete filling of the mold; as a consequence the printed product appears "empty". To solve this type of problem, expanding agents are used which, by releasing gas inside the mold, compress the molten material, homogeneously favoring its filling. The use of these masters reduces the mechanical characteristics of the product.
TEMAD IR FILTER is born from the continuous research of innovative additives able to solve problems related to plastic materials. This additive has the specific characteristic of filtering the IR rays which, as known, transmit the heat. Elimination of IR , is necessary especially in the presence of display cases, tarpaulins, covers or transparent panels to protect environments, offices, greenhouses, partitions and coverings of various kinds, where there is a need to pass the light and avoid overheating of the interior rooms. The addition of the additive to the transparent resin, gives it the property of filtering the infrared rays with a percentage that varies between 35% and 62% depending on the geometry and thickness.
