Description

Product Information

The high pressure sealing assembly consists of a polyurethane seal and a fan-shaped support. It is mainly used for pressure testing of steel pipe by hydraulic tester. In the non-working condition, a gap exists between the seal and the surface of the steel pipe. During the test, hydraulic oil is applied to the surface of the seal ring. Then the ring is compressed and the surface of the steel pipe is tightly wrapped, and the test pressure can be performed. It is suitable for pressure test of steel pipe such as casing, oil pipe and natural gas pipe. Also used for leak detection of steel pipes, joints, welded joints and sealing of high pressure valves.

Benefits

O-rings are a commonly used type of high-pressure seal and offer several benefits in sealing applications under high pressure conditions. Here are some advantages of using O-rings as high-pressure seals:

  1. Effective sealing: O-rings are designed to create a reliable and effective seal between mating surfaces. When properly compressed, they form a tight barrier that prevents fluid or gas leakage, even under high-pressure conditions. This ensures the integrity of the sealed system.
  2. Wide range of pressure capabilities: O-rings are available in various materials and sizes, allowing them to accommodate a wide range of pressure requirements. They can effectively seal systems operating at high pressures, making them suitable for applications such as hydraulic systems, high-pressure pumps, and compressors.
  3. Versatility: O-rings can be used in both static and dynamic sealing applications. Whether the seal needs to remain stationary or experience movement and dynamic forces, O-rings can adapt and provide reliable sealing performance.
  4. Temperature resistance: O-rings are available in different elastomeric materials that offer varying temperature resistance. They can withstand high temperatures, making them suitable for applications where both high-pressure and high-temperature conditions are present.
  5. Chemical compatibility: O-rings are designed to be compatible with a wide range of fluids, including oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and gases. They offer resistance to various chemicals and provide reliable sealing performance in diverse environments.
  6. Cost-effective: O-rings are generally cost-effective compared to other types of high-pressure seals. They are readily available and offer a long service life when properly selected and maintained. Their affordability makes them a popular choice for many industrial applications.
  7. Easy installation and replacement: O-rings are relatively easy to install and replace, requiring minimal effort and time. This makes maintenance and repair tasks more efficient, reducing downtime and improving overall system reliability.

Application

  1. Hydraulic systems: High-pressure O-rings are extensively employed in hydraulic systems, including hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and fittings. They provide sealing between moving components and prevent leakage of hydraulic fluids under high pressure, ensuring efficient operation and preventing system failures.
  2. Pneumatic systems: Pneumatic systems that utilize compressed air or gas also rely on high-pressure O-rings. These seals are used in pneumatic cylinders, valves, regulators, and connectors to maintain a secure seal and prevent air or gas leaks, allowing precise control and efficient functioning of the system.
  3. Oil and gas industry: The oil and gas industry often operates under high-pressure and harsh environments. High-pressure O-rings are used in wellhead equipment, valves, pipelines, and pumps to prevent fluid or gas leakage. They help maintain the integrity of the systems and ensure safety and efficiency in oil and gas exploration, production, and transportation.
  4. Automotive industry: High-pressure O-rings are found in various automotive applications, especially in engines, fuel systems, and air conditioning systems. They provide sealing for components such as fuel injectors, high-pressure pumps, and compressors, ensuring proper functioning and preventing leaks that could compromise performance and efficiency.
  5. Aerospace industry: In aircraft and aerospace systems, high-pressure O-rings are used in hydraulic systems, fuel systems, and critical sealing applications. They provide reliable sealing in components such as actuators, landing gear, pumps, and valves, ensuring safe and efficient operation in demanding aerospace environments.
  6. Manufacturing and industrial equipment: High-pressure O-rings are utilized in a wide range of manufacturing and industrial equipment, including high-pressure pumps, compressors, presses, and processing machinery. They play a vital role in preventing leakage and maintaining operational efficiency in these high-pressure systems.
