Reusing Our Coffee Bags

Here at Two Chimps Coffee, we love to look after the environment.

With this in mind, we are always looking for new and inventive ways to keep our planet smiling. Currently, our retail bags are not recyclable; however, we are working hard to make this happen. In the meantime, there are a number of fun ways of reusing our coffee bags, giving them at least one more life before they end up in the bin. Reduce, reuse and recycle.

Waterproof bag

Our retail bags are resealable and waterproof. This means that once you have emptied your coffee bag, you can wash it out and use it as a bag for other things. If you want to get creative, you can even attach some straps to the bag so you can take it out and about with you – a great way of reusing our coffee bags.

A customer of ours told us that when it’s raining, he pops his phone inside a used Two Chimps Coffee bag to protect it from the rain. Good work!

Lunch bag

As mentioned before, all our bags are resealable. So, instead of throwing it away after you are finished with the coffee inside, why not fill it with your lunch and take it to work with you. Reusing our coffee bags in this way means you definitely won’t get your lunch mixed up and end up with Dave’s cucumber sandwiches – Ewww.

Equally, you can use it for your children’s lunches when they go to school. The other children’s Superman and Pokemon lunch boxes will be no match for your children’s Two Chimps Coffee lunch bag! Just make sure it is coffee free before you use it, however!

Planter

Green-fingered? When you have finished with your coffee, you can use the bag as a planter for young plants or seedlings in your garden or greenhouse.

All you need to do is turn the bag inside out and add some holes for drainage (if required). Once you’ve done that, roll down the edges, so just the foil inside is showing. Add your soil and plant whatever you would like.

Reusing our coffee bags as artwork

Want to add some quirky and unique artwork to your home? Why not frame coffee bags? To do this, wash out the bag to remove any grounds that may have got stuck to the bag. Then, cut down one side of the bag to open it up and lay it flat. Next, measure which bit of the bag you would like to frame and choose a frame to fit.

The hardest bit is choosing where to hang it!

These are just some of the many ways we do our bit for our planet. To find out what else we do here at Two Chimps Coffee, check out our Carbon Footprint at Two Chimps Coffee.
