What is monel wire mesh?

Monel screen is a woven wire cloth. Its color and appearance nearly match that of stainless steel wire mesh. But theirs properties are different. The highest mesh size of them are also different. For example, mesh size of 316L stainless steel wire mesh can up to 635, but Monel woven mesh size can only up to 200 for now.

So how is woven wire mesh made?

Monel 400 | k500 wire mesh is a wire mesh screen, which is interlaced with two distinct sets of wires at right angles. Each warp and weft (woof / filling) wire pass over one, two or other amounts of wires, and then under the next one, two or other amounts of wires.

There are four main weaves according to different inter-structure of the mesh: plain, dutch, twilled, twilled dutch. For example, plain woven wire mesh is the mesh where warp and weft wires pass over one, and then under the next adjacent wire in both sides. Warp and weft wires of twilled woven wire cloth need to pass over two, and then under two successive wires in both directions.
