EASTON – From afternoon to late night, people can enjoy food and drinks on a large outdoor patio at Stoneforge Grill.
For at least nine years, customers have been able to choose to sit outside during the summer, if they prefer, and it has been a huge draw for patrons.
“It will fill up every night of the week, weather permitting,” said Allen LaMere, the general manager of the Easton location.
The patio seats about 50 people, with 12 tables offering anywhere from four to six spots.
The metal mesh tables are covered by large umbrellas and sit atop a stone-tiled floor. Around the edges of the patio, which wraps around the side and back of the restaurant, are trimmed bushes and flowers.
The company also owns a restaurant in Raynham, which has a patio. When it came time to build the restaurant in Easton, LaMere said it was a foregone conclusion that outdoor dining had to be included due to the success in Raynham.
And people have flocked to the patio in Easton.
“There’s not too much around here for outdoor dining,” LaMere said.
Stoneforge is known for seafood – from $19.99 salmon to $28.99 scallops rockefeller – and steaks – from $24.99 Kansas City strip steak to $32.99 house delmonico.
The patio is open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the week and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the weekend. The patio is often full just after noon, LaMere said.
The full bar and food menu is available outside.
During lunch, the restaurant has a chopped and wedge salads menu that allows patrons to design salads, picking lettuce, proteins, cheeses, fruits, nuts and dressing.
“For us, it’s a big draw,” LaMere said. “Especially on a nice day or night, when you don’t want to be stuck inside, it’s a perfect place to sit and have lunch or dinner. It’s very relaxing, people can unwind out there.”
