If you want to know how to maintain the squeegee of a screen printing machine and some maintenance tips, you must first know how to operate the squeegee properly and some common tips for operating the squeegee. Only by operating the squeegee correctly and methodically can you minimize the damage to the squeegee.

Generally speaking, there are three ways to operate a agricultural V belts scraper:

(1) scrape the ink on the side close to yourself and push the end of the scraper to scrape the ink back;

(2) Between 70° and 50°, scrape to the side close to you, between 110° and 120°, when the ink is returned, scrape to the front;

(3) The opposite method of operation to (1), advancing the squeegee for printing and moving in reverse when returning the ink.

Each of these three printing methods has its own characteristics, such as the viscosity of the ink and the shape of the substrate surface, as well as advantages and disadvantages. Simply put, in the use of the above three operating methods to operate the squeegee, the following operational details must be noted: a, scraping, you must ensure that the scraping angle is not too large or too small, otherwise it will directly cause the squeegee wear; b, the pressure of the squeegee on the screen. In the case of manual printing, the operator needs to use his own arm to adjust the impression force, and in the case of mechanical printing, it is necessary to adjust the bolt to adjust the impression force. However, whether manual or mechanical, many experiments must be done to check the effect of screen printing.

Also, it is necessary to check the squeegee thoroughly before starting printing. When starting, first check that the blade of the squeegee is straight and free of teeth. After printing, use a cotton swab dipped in an appropriate amount of solvent to scrape off any residual ink on the tape. Do not use the ink knife to scrape residual ink directly from the tape. If the squeegee needs to be left for a long time, the solvent on its surface should evaporate and then be stored in a sealed container.

Even if the screen printing squeegee is operated correctly, the squeegee will wear out after a certain period of time, so it is necessary to "sharpen" the squeegee. Again, sharpening can be divided into manual sharpening and mechanical sharpening. At the same time, care should be taken before fine sharpening. Manual grinding repair scraper is to stick the sandpaper on the straight wood or glass board, hold the ends of the scraper with both hands, make it vertical with the sandpaper, push and pull in one direction on the sandpaper board, require smooth force, keep vertical when pushing and pulling, do not swing, the speed should be moderate. Remember not to sand with the sandpaper in your hand. When the scraper is used for mechanical grinding, fix the scraper vertically on the grinding scraper and grind gently. Do not use too much force to avoid cranking. During the grinding process, the rubber of the grinding part of the scraper sometimes becomes sticky due to heat, which can be prevented by applying some talcum powder to the grinding part.
