Rice is known to be beneficial to the skin. It is rich in minerals, antioxidants, and vitamins B and E. It is known to improve skin texture and brighten the skin. So far whichever product I have used from the brand I have loved it. So I knew that the Emulsion and Toner will not worsen my skin condition. Although I was a bit skeptical about using the emulsion as I had never used one before.
I bought both The Face Shop Rice & Ceramide Emulsion and Toner and used both of them religiously every single day without fail. Let me take you through the review one by one.
The Face Shop Rice & Ceramide Moisturizing Toner
I feel using a toner does make a great impact on my skin condition. Whenever I skip using the toner, my skin did act up a bit. So I make sure that I use a toner every day after cleansing my face.
The toners I have used in the past were quite watery. However, The Face Shop Rice & Ceramide Toner is thick in texture. The texture resembles more like that of a serum. I watched videos where they pour some toner onto their palm and pat it on their face. I too got inspired by it and tried the same. But this technique did not go well with my combination skin. I got tiny bumps on my face. Since I was trying out a new toner, I blamed it for the breakout. Still, I wanted to give the toner another chance. So I used it in the traditional way, I poured some toner on the cotton pad and wiped it on my face. To my surprise, this technique of applying toner did work. I did not break out after that. So the technique of applying the toner also makes a difference which was a new discovery for me 😀
The Face Shop Rice & Ceramide Moisturizing Toner retails for INR 820 for 150ml. One bottle lasts for a good 2 to 3 months in spite of using it two times every day. The quantity is great. The texture of the toner is thick so you don’t need too much of the product. A few drops of the toner will work fine. It instantly plumps the skin and moisturizes it thoroughly. I did not break out although I have combination skin. People with dry skin will also enjoy the toner as it hydrates the skin well. I stay in the air-conditioned room for about 8-9 hours still my skin doesn’t feel dry at all. It would be great for winters as well as we can use it in summers, it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. I didn’t see any reduction of dark spots by using this toner although I have been using the combo for a year now. However, it is great at making the skin hydrated and plump.

The Face Shop Rice & Ceramide Moisturizing Emulsion
This was the first time I used an emulsion. I was a little skeptical while buying The Face Shop Rice & Ceramide Moisturizing Emulsion as I was not sure if it would suit my skin. But surprisingly it worked really well with my skin.
The emulsion is not very thick in texture. It has a gel-like consistency. It is light-weight, so people with oily skin can also use it. As soon as you apply The Face Shop Rice & Ceramide Moisturizing Emulsion your skin looks hydrated, plump, and glass-like. It nourishes and moisturizes the skin really well. It didn’t break me out. It can be used throughout the year.
