Standard primary voltage for encapsulated transformers is 115/230VAC, with standard secondary voltages of 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, and 24VAC. Also referred to as Epoxy Resin Encapsulated, these transformers have a thicker coating of insulation that is tough, sealed, and waterproof. Compared to other transformers. Because of this, the most common application of types of transformers is for environmental conditions that do not permit a general-purpose ventilated dry type transformer.
