I got the oil hubs on my '08 and I don't think you have to do anything other than what you are doing. I had one of the set scews back out a little on one of mine and caused a leak. I just took the wheel off and put on some plumbers tape. I think it was 50 weight oil I put in it and filled it back to the top. The best way i found to put that oil in was with one of those squeeze bottles with the pointed cap. You have to kind of drip it into the hole so that the air can escape. I turned the rotor a little to make sure it was full and screwed the cap back in.

My truck and grain trailer both have Meritor axles. Book says 100,000 or 6 months—-whichever first. For a farm truck that gets 5 to 10 thousand miles per year, how often would you change? Thanks

Just asking about the outer ends on the steer axle and the trailer axles.
