CommsCon 2013 Award WINNERS!

Huge congrats to Tim Burrowes and his hard-working team at Mumbrella - Denise Jinks, Cathie McGinn & Martin Lane - for the inaugural CommsCon conference yesterday & awards last night. A sold-out event with the cream of the PR industry in attendance, it was an inspiring group dedicated to raising the bar of our industry, pursuing excellence and achieving common goals.

It was a huge honour to be a juror, panelist and presenter of the Corporate Social Responsibility Award to the well-deserving team at Liquid Ideas for R U OK? Day. Enthusiastic back-pats to you all!

Naked takes home CommsCon Awards Grand Prix

Naked Communications won the Grand Prix at the first CommsCon Awards, held for the communications and PR industry in Sydney last night.

The agency picked up the trophy for “Who Gives a Crap - Help Simon Get Off TheLoo”. The campaign featured Simon Griffiths, CEO of Good Goods, sitting on a toilet on live webcam and pledging to not get up until $50,000 had been raised to build toilets in the developing world through sales of the new toilet paper brand. As well as the Grand Prix, the campaign won in the categories of Most innovative use of social media; and Investor / Community Relations campaign.

The CommsCon Awards followed yesterdays CommsCon conference, attended by around 200 delegates.
The juries were chaired by Andy Lark, Chief Marketing and Online Officer at CommBank.
